Great River Chorale is celebrating its 25th Anniversary Season, and we’re looking for
passionate leaders to help shape our future! We invite qualified candidates to apply for
two part-time contract positions:
Executive Director

The Executive Director oversees all administrative operations of Great River Chorale,
working in partnership with the Artistic Director and reporting to the Board of Directors.
This role includes:
- Financial Management: Budgeting, tracking income/expenses, and ensuring compliance.
- Development & Fundraising: Securing sponsorships, managing donor appeals, and writing grants.
- Operations & Marketing: Coordinating venues, ticketing, logistics, and promotional efforts.
- Community Engagement: Building relationships with local arts organizations and representing GRC publicly.
Qualifications:
Two-year minimum experience (four-year degree preferred), nonprofit arts experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Grant writing experience is a plus.

Artistic Director

The Artistic Director shapes the creative vision of Great River Chorale’s mixed and
treble choirs, reporting to the Board and collaborating with the Executive Director.
Responsibilities include:
- Artistic Leadership: Selecting repertoire, leading rehearsals and concerts, and
supervising artistic personnel. - Public Relations: Serving as GRC’s spokesperson and fostering community
partnerships. - Board & Financial Collaboration: Developing artistic plans and participating in
budgeting and fundraising.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in vocal/choral music required (advanced degree preferred), 3–5
years of choral leadership experience, and ability to work with singers of diverse skill
levels.
