Who we are

Great River Chorale is a 57-voice auditioned adult community choir based in St. Cloud, Minnesota, whose members range in age from 23 to 77 and live in communities across central Minnesota. The choir has distinguished itself through its commitment to artistic excellence, collaborations with local and regional artists, and commissioning new music from Minnesota composers such as René Clausen, Timothy Takach, David Dickau and Laura Caviani. Great River Chorale was the only choir outside the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area selected to perform virtually in Chorus America’s 2021 National Conference, and in 2015 was one of ten Minnesota choirs to headline the Northern Voice Festival in the Twin Cities. Great River Chorale has been selected four times (in 2019, ‘17, ‘15 and ‘13) for inclusion on Classical Minnesota Public Radio’s “Taste of the Holidays” CD featuring “Minnesota’s best regional ensembles.”
